Proud of #CampTShirtDay

For 12 years, my team at Craze has been managing and producing International Wear Your Summer Camp T-Shirt Day.

The event is simple. Wear your favorite camp gear, snap a quick pic, and post it to your social platforms of choice tagging your camp and using #CampTShirtDay.

CTSD has grown exponentially year to year with participation across the country and throughout the world.

The event has ALWAYS felt important…but more so today where camps like so many small businesses have been impacted by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and face uncertainty in the future.

I used to hide the fact that this industry, which felt so small has such a big part of my heart but the camp pride and spirit shown today and resilience of this past summer has me shouting to the world the importance of an industry that does so much good in the lives of young people.

I could not be more proud of our team, our partners, and the event participants. At the completion of today’s events, #CampTShirtDay will have reached 2 million people.

While many things in life and work come and go…I think we’ll hold onto CTSD and keep building it bigger and better to show the true power of social media, camp, and the incredible people who make the summer magic happen.
