In 2016, I will be a better me

I love the last few days of the year and these moments of reflection. I have seen tremendous growth in myself in 2015 but more time has been spent finding areas where I can improve as a CEO, a thinker, a friend, and a person.

In the hustle of work and life you don’t often get to have these moments where you can look at yourself and ask “how can I be better?” In truth, I haven’t been the best I could be. That’s a hard truth to realize.

I set out in 2015 to spend more time on me. I transitioned a business, got back into the dating game, tried to work smarter and not harder. I wanted to spend more time with friends — reconnect with family. A few days away from 2016 I’m asking myself, did I do all of that? Am I happy with this year? How can next year be better?

Truth be told, I did some of the above — but not all. Some things I did better than others.

I’m not sure that I have ever been more excited for a New Year, than I am at this very moment. There is so much to look forward to and a big part of that is my new company CM.

I am so fuc*king proud of this thing and I can’t wait to share it with the world. In April, we soft launched to share our concept with a select few. We released an overly simple and non-specific landing page that would encourage interest without diving into details. Nine months later — we’re set to launch our brand new website, we’re recruiting to find the very best in the world, we already have clients we’re managing on two continents— and several waiting for the ball to drop in 2016. I’m fired up.

The excitement of building a business is an incredible high. Now it’s time to do the work. This time, not only are we accelerating our own growth — but the growth of businesses across the country through on-going marketing management.

While I am laser-focused on CM, I will not forget about the things in 2015 that I didn’t fully get to. I am going to spend the last remaining days and hours figuring out how I am going to work these things into this new year.

2016 will be the year. 2016 is the year I grow CM to new highs, it’s the year I find that work/life balance, I become a better friend — it will be the year I become a better me. What’s more exciting than that?
